Beach Anniversary Card

Happy Anniversary, Handmade Card, Beach, Window Card

My father-in-law has his 1st Wedding Anniversary coming up and him and his wife love the beach so I thought I would create them a Beach Anniversary Card.

I started off by watercoloring a beach scene on Arches cold press paper.  I die cut the large stitched heart from Simon Says Stamp out of Innocent Pink cardstock from Gina K Designs.  I ran it through my Big Shot with an embossing folder over the from of the cardstock to create a stitched heart impression.  I placed the next size down heart in the middle of that heart and ran it through to cut a heart for the window.  I adhered the acetate to the front of the large pink heart and attached it to the back of the top folding card to create a window.

I stamped the chairs (Gina K Designs stamp) on watercolor paper with Marvy Markers (sepia, terra cotta) and pulled the color out of the lines.  In order to attach them to the front of the card I fussy cut them out (twice – one for the back of the chairs to hide the adhesive).

I attached the beach watercolor scene to the Gina K Designs Blue Denim cardstock (cut to 4 x 5.25).  I placed the card in my MISTI and stamped the sentiment from Gina K Designs on the inside of the card so it can be seen through the window when the card is closed.

Thank you so much for stopping by today.  Don’t forget to check out my YouTube channel.  Have a crafty day!
