Country Village | Watercolor Weekend | Art Impressions

Country Village

How exciting has this month been!!!  I love all the new sets.  Here is my Country Village card project.

To start I inked the Country Village stamp with 969, stamped it off, and stamped it onto my watercolor paper.  Next, I inked the left and right trees from the Mini Foliage set with 969 and stamped it several times around the Village.  For the leaves, I inked the leaves stamp from the Mini Foliage set with 177.  I stamped it around all of the trees and between some of the houses.  For the bushes, I used the tree line from the Mini Foliage.

I pulled the color out of the lines on all of the houses, keeping the left side really dark.  I added water to the leaves and bushes. I added color from my palette to the houses and to some of the trees to get a darker value.  I used a mixture of 969 and 569 for the roofs.  I pulled some color out of the bushes to ground everything.  Lastly, I added some color to the sky.  I cut the project out with my stitched rectangle die and mounted it to a piece of Wild Dandelion card stock from Gina K Designs.
