Flowering Bird House | Art Impressions

Flowering Bird House

Hi AI Fans, thanks for joining me for another Art Impressions project.  Today I am using the Flowering Bird House stamp set.  This is a quick and easy project that I know you will love.  If you want to paint along with me, check out the video.

Flowering Bird House card details:

I started out by inking up the birdhouse with African Violet and Sepia and stamped in onto a piece of Canson watercolor paper.  I pulled the color out of the lines and added some additional color using the fine tip of the marker.

I added some magenta to the right side and used the paintbrush to draw lines on the front.  Then I used eggplant to stamp flowers on the left.

I stamped the foliage in olive green and the flowers in pink.

Using a lot of water, I painted in the sky using blue.  To finish off the painting, I signed and dated it.

Once the painting was complete, I cut it down to 4 x 5.25.  I used my WPlus9 “happy” die to cut out 3 of the “happy” to create some dimension and then glued the “happy” that I cut from the painting on top.  I used my Misti to place the birthday stamp perfectly.

I cut a mat from Gina K Design Dusty Rose cardstock (4.125 x 5.375), adhered the painting to it, and then adhered the entire project to a card base (11 x 4.25).

That’s all folks!  Thank you so much for stopping by.  I hope you have a crafty day!
