Thankful Watercolor Wreath

Thankful Watercolor Wreath Card

Hi everyone!  Today I have a quick video tutorial up on my YouTube channel where I show you how to create this Thankful Watercolor Wreath card.

I love that you can use only 4 stamps to create this wreath.  This is such an easy technique that really packs a powerful punch.

I started this project by tracing a circle die onto watercolor paper.  I then divided the circle into four quadrants.

I started with my vine stamp and stamped it into each quadrant with each color (Brilliant Yellow, Terra Cotta, English Red and Olive Green).

I then stamped the flower from the Garden Wagon Set into each quadrant using the Olive Green for the stem and African Violet for the flowers.  I repeated this with the stem and branch.  Once all of my stamping was done, I added water to each color individually.

I erased all of my pencil lines once everything was completely dry.  I placed the watercolor panel into my Misti and stamped the Gina K Designs Stitched Leaves mini kit “Thankful” sentiment with the GKD Dark Chocolate ink.Thankful Watercolor Wreath Card

I then added the “I’m so” and “For You” GKD sentiments to the panel.  I used some strong adhesive and attached it to a 4 x 5.25 panel of GKD Lemon Drop cardstock.  I then attached it to a GKD Dark Chocolate card base.

I hope you will try this Thankful Watercolor Wreath technique and send a card to someone who could use a little kindness in their life.

Here is another video with a different spin on the same technique:  https://www.tobinartstudio.com/art-impressions-tutorial-wreath-of-flowers/
